Dr. Lori Hess worked for months to create a veterinary hospital tailored specifically for exotic animals. Here's a peek at the result.

Not every feature of the hospital was suited for exotics in the beginning—for example, the practice software was designed for small practice. “We had to tailor all of that and input all the exotic species settings,” Dr. Hess says.
