Ashley Bourgeois, DVM, DACVD: We also have different comfort levels of cytology, right? I like to do mine; I like to read it and evaluate it, but that's not what is in place for everybody in their practice. So having these tools that we can save time, but then also have our backup team, right? Having clinical pathologists that are there that can help us when we are busy, when we don't have time, we're not really sure what's going on, can be really worthwhile. So you're saving time. If you're short on staff, staining slides doesn't seem like a big deal, but when you're doing hopefully as many cytologies as you should be doing, that's a lot of time of staining slides, of putting it on the microscope, where maybe you could have something that's a bit more efficient and easier to do.
