Janette Reever, senior manager of animal crimes for The Humane Society of the United States, explains how she shuts down a "yard" where dog fighting is taking place.
She says you don't want to shut down just a dog fight in progress, but instead catch the suspects off guard and shut down their entire operation. By doing so, you can obtain all of the dogs being used in the fights, any drug paraphernalia, contact lists and even get information about other dog fighting yards.
