Texas educator wins equine research award
College Station, Texas - 2/11/08 - Dr. Noah Cohen, professor of large-animal clinical sciences at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, received the 2008 Schering-Plough Animal Health Applied Equine Research Award at the 10th World Equine Veterinary Association (WEVA) congress in Moscow, Russia.
College Station, Texas - 2/11/08 - Dr. Noah Cohen, professor of large-animal clinical sciences at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, received the 2008 Schering-Plough Animal Health Applied Equine Research Award at the 10th World Equine Veterinary Association (WEVA) congress in Moscow, Russia.
The award is for his research in equine neonatology and perinatology, most recently focusing on a collaborative study on Rhodococcus equi foal pneumonia, a major cause of disease and death in foals.
WEVA was founded in 1985, with a mission of advancing equine health and offering continuing education for equine practitioners from less-developed countries.
