A roundup of latest products and innovative technology in veterinary medicine.
To help readers stay up to date with the latest innovations in the veterinary and pet care spectrum, dvm360 has curated a list of recent product and technology launches.
The following were highlighted in dvm360’s March/April magazine issue:
Facial recognition pet feeder
The Pet Feeder Match G1 by Cheerble is an artificial intelligence–powered pet feeder designed for multicat households. The feeder uses on-device facial recognition, processing data locally, to identify individual cats and control food access without collars or radio-frequency identification tags. According to Cheerble, the system supports up to 6 cats and allows feeding schedules, access controls, and activity tracking through the Cheerble app.
Generic injectable for bovine respiratory disease
nixiFLOR (florfenicol and flunixin meglumine) by Parnell Technologies is the first FDA-approved generic injectable equivalent to Resflor GOLD for the treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and control of BRD-associated fever in beef and nonlactating dairy cattle. The prescription product combines a broad-spectrum antibiotic with a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It is administered as a single subcutaneous neck injection with a 38-day withdrawal interval for animals entering the food supply.
Device for evaluating canine injury
The Body Energy Solution TechnologyBOX (BEST-BOX) from EQUUSIR is a noninvasive veterinary device that uses photobiomodulation, infrared B light, and electromagnetic field therapy to evaluate and support dogs' health. The system generates digital reports analyzing cellular‑level energy flow, allowing veterinarians to tailor treatment plans for musculoskeletal, neurological, gastrointestinal, and other conditions. Originally launched in Europe, the device is now available in the US.
Feline cannabidiol and cannabidiolic acid chews
Feline CBD + CBDA Soft Chews by ElleVet Sciences are salmon-flavored chews formulated to support stress, mobility, and overall well-being in cats. The product contains the company's proprietary cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) oil and was developed using feline-specific safety, pharmacokinetic, and clinical research. According to ElleVet, the chews are designed to improve palatability and ease of administration compared with oils and capsules.
