The 19th annual Feline Symposium July 27 to 29 at Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine will honor James Richards, DVM, who recently passed away.

The 19th annual Feline Symposium July 27 to 29 at Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine will honor James Richards, DVM, who recently passed away. Dr. Richards, the organizer of the symposium and the director of the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine's Feline Health Center, died April 24 at age 58 from injuries sustained after being thrown from his motorcycle. Richards' work as an advocate for feline medicine included books, TV appearances, charity work, teaching, and a past presidency of the American Association of Feline Practitioners. Memorial donations can be made to Cornell Feline Health Center, College of Veterinary Medicine, Ithaca, NY 14853.
