There are obvious things that mobile practices should refer to brick-and-mortar veterinarians — such as surgery, critical care cases and any procedure needing anesthesia — but there are plenty they are well-equipped to handle. General primary care, preventive care, annual exams, vaccinations, sick patient care and the management of chronic disease in geriatric patients are all things mobile practice are well-suited for, Dr. Gransky says.
