As the veterinarian, you need to remember that it's not just about getting things done—you have to give these patients breaks. Let the patient relax in oxygen for a bit once they come into the hospital. Take the patient out of oxygen to take X-rays, but then place them back in oxygen before the next part of the exam. If they patient becomes too stressed out, they could go into arrest events.
