Science is cool in school
Up-and-coming generations could be poised to make big waves in the science and engineering fields, according to a survey by Bayer HealthCare LLC–Animal Health Division. In fact, 42 percent of parents surveyed report that their daughters have already expressed an interest in continuing to study or having a career in these fields, and 63 percent report that their sons have expressed the same interest.

In fact, 42 percent of parents surveyed report that their daughters have already expressed an interest in continuing to study or having a career in these fields, and 63 percent report that their sons have expressed the same interest.
Furthermore, more than 95 percent of the parents surveyed feel that their sons and daughters have the ability to succeed in scientific subjects in school. And around 73 percent of girls' parents and 75 percent of boys' parents say they're confident that their children will succeed.
The majority of parents also believe that science being "uncool" is no longer an issue. In fact, 67 percent of boys' parents and 64 percent of girls' parents say this issue poses little or no challenge to their children learning science.
