Date: June 17 - June 17, 2015
Description:
During this webinar, we will review the literature and summarize some important physiologic and pathophysiologic bases for pain in our patients, highlighting the importance of early recognition, prevention, and prompt treatment of pain.
Our presenter, Dr. Andrea Looney, will discuss therapies for chronic pain, including baseline dietary, complementary, physical medicine modalities, progressing through anti-inflammatory and oral opioids, to more advanced locoregional and infusion therapies. We will focus on chronic medical pain conditions such as those resulting from trauma, surgical intervention, degenerative disease (osteoarthritis), and neurologic impairments in cats and dogs.
