Securos double swedged-on cruciate repair needles aid in passing monofilament suture around the lateral and/or medial fabella in cranial cruciate ligament stabilization. By having these needles swedged-on to the appropriate suture size, the drag associated with pulling the needle behind the fabella is minimized. The small cruciate needle is available with 40 lb. and 80 lb. monofilament suture; the medium cruciate needle is also available with 40 lb. and 80 lb. monofilament suture and the large cruciate needle is available with 80 lb. monofilament suture. The swedged-on needles are sold in boxes of six with one or two strands attached.
