Medical Lighting, introduces the adjustable Halux ? Iris Examination Light.

Medical Lighting, introduces the adjustable Halux® Iris Examination Light. The light is designed for and used by doctors for safe and efficient illumination of medical examinations and procedures, the company says.

The Iris uses one 12V/50W halogen lamp, which includes an infrared reflective coating to conserve energy and create a more efficient light source. The lamp provides more than 4,000 hours of lamp life, 3,700 foot candles at 36 in. from the work plane and a 4,000K color temperature. The lamp's design is self-cooling and allows air to circulate around the semi-facetted reflector.

The reflector design creates an even light distribution and beam pattern and has an interference filter that corrects the lamp color to 4,000K and allows for infrared absorption. A polycarbonate lens, placed on top of the filter, protects the lamp and eliminates scratches. This two-tier filter and lens system provides additional light and safety.

The Iris also features a fully pivoting 270-degree head and radial grab ring for easy positioning and user control. The Iris is available with a choice of three mounting methods.
