Mike Conzemius, DVM, PhD, DACVS, professor of veterinary clinical sciences at the University of Minnesota, explains when recurrent estrus occurs and how to fix this issue. Recurrent estrus occurs when an ovary is incompletely removed—a bit of the ovary is still located in the abdomen.
