The system consists of titanium clamps, a pin placement device and carbon fiber rods. The titanium clamps obtain maximum gripping on the rods. There are less parts to the titanium clamp, making the product easier to apply. In addition, the new clamp uses 9.5-mm carbon fiber or aluminum connecting rods, and accepts 1/8-in. and 5/32-in. positive profile pin sizes.
The new clamp is manufactured from the highest grade titanium to maximize durability and minimize weight, the company says.
The pin placement device allows for accurate pre-drilling and pin placement. The carbon fiber rods are light weight, strong and radiolucent.
