In this dvm360® interview, Laura Gaylord, DVM, DACVIM (Nutrition), owner/founder of Whole Pet Provisions, PLLC, discusses fresh foods, which are one of the fastest growing markets in the pet food industry. She shares why pet owners are gravitating towards these products, plus potential benefits and drawbacks of incorporating them into an animal's diet.

The following is a partial transcript of the video.

Laura Gaylord, DVM, DACVIM (Nutrition): There's lots of interest, I have a lot of questions and emails from pet owners all the time about, you know, what fresh pet foods are good options. And I think it's just a reflection of the interest in human nutrition, towards maybe what we would call less processed food forms. So naturally, that trickles down into our other family members, our dogs and cats. And I think those diets might include anything that looks more like human foods.

Register today for the Fetch dvm360® Charlotte Conference taking place March 24-26, 2023.
