University collects data to help cats with renal failure.
The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in North Grafton, Mass., is conducting a short survey about feeding habits of cats with chronic kidney disease and needs veterinarians to contribute data.
“Chronic kidney disease is one of the most common diseases affecting cats,” says Jessie Markovich, DVM, DACVIM, a resident in Tuft University’s nutrition department. “Diet is one of the main components of treatment for this disease but additional information is needed to optimize our nutritional recommendations.”
