Imex introduces trans-ilial rods and nuts. The fully threaded rods are designed to provide additional stability during the repair of pelvic fractures, sacro-iliac luxations and sacro-iliac fractures. The products are used often in addition to lag screws and can be combined with other implants. Available in 3.2 mm, 4.0 mm and 4.7 mm diameters with a single trocar point. Paired nuts can be applied to each end to provide secure, locked fixation. Rods and nuts are made from implant-quality stainless steel, the company says.
