Sue Ettinger, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology): The first thing I want pet owners to know is that 1) it’s treatable; 2) there’s a range of treatment options. Some owners may choose to do the full chemotherapy protocol. Some owners may elect not to treat, and then may end up doing steroids, which is going to be palliative care. Then, there are plan B and plan C chemotherapy protocols.
