The Farmer's Dog becomes NFL's first official pet food partner

The fresh-food company, whose recipes are developed by a team that includes board-certified veterinary nutritionists, has signed a multiyear deal making it the league's inaugural pet food partner.

The Farmer's Dog has been named the NFL's first-ever official pet food partner, the company announced September 9, 2026. The multiyear agreement will bring the fresh pet food company into the league's marketing and fan experiences, including some of the NFL's highest-profile events.1

The partnership will include activations around Super Bowl LXI, the NFL Combine and the NFL Draft, as well as community initiatives connected to programs including My Cause My Cleats, NFL Salute to Service and NFL FLAG.1

The Farmer's Dog produces freshly cooked, minimally processed meal plans for dogs. According to the company, its recipes are developed by an in-house team that includes board-certified veterinary nutritionists, PhD nutritionists and veterinarians. The company says its meals are complete and balanced and made to human-grade safety standards.1

The partnership's launch campaign features New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo and his senior rescue dog, Duke. The campaign focuses on their relationship outside of football, including the routines and experiences they shared before Skattebo's NFL career. Skattebo's 2 Dachshund puppies, Cheech and Daizy, also appear in the campaign.1

"I've had Duke for every high and every low. He's been my teammate long before football became my career," Skattebo said. "I started feeding him The Farmer's Dog because I wanted as many healthy years with him as possible. If The Farmer's Dog teaming up with the NFL gets even one more person thinking differently about what they feed their dog, that's something I'm proud to be part of."1

A new audience for fresh pet food

The agreement gives The Farmer's Dog access to the NFL's broad national audience while extending the company's existing relationships in professional sports. In addition to the new league-wide partnership, The Farmer's Dog is the official pet food of the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.1

The company has also partnered with athletes and public figures including tennis player Jess Pegula and NASCAR driver Ryan Blaney. Its NFL campaign continues a marketing strategy built around the relationship between dogs and their owners rather than focusing solely on the product itself.1

"The NFL is all about bringing people together through shared experiences and community," said Tracie Rodburg, senior vice president of global partnerships at the NFL. "Dogs are an important part of many families, and as the Official Pet Food Partner, The Farmer's Dog will help us celebrate the role they play in our lives and communities throughout the season."1

For The Farmer's Dog, the partnership represents an opportunity to put its approach to canine nutrition in front of an audience far beyond the company's existing customer base.

"We understand more than ever how much what we eat impacts our health and performance. NFL players live that every day, and people increasingly recognize the same is true for their dogs," said Jonathan Regev, CEO and co-founder of The Farmer's Dog. "This partnership gives us an incredible opportunity to show millions more people there's a better way."1

The partnership will roll out throughout the 2026 NFL season, with additional content, fan experiences and activations planned around league events.1
