Do your clients know how to recognize the signs of pet diabetes?
While your clients probably know all about human diabetes and its complications, they might not be as familiar with pet diabetes. Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health hopes to change that. The company is sponsoring Pet Diabetes Month in November to raise awareness of the disease, and hopes to help pet owners recognize the signs and treatment options of pet diabetes.
Send clients to petdiabetesmonth.com for educational materials about the disease. In addition, check out “How to respond to client fears about feline diabetes” for tips on communicating with clients, and don't forget to download this handy form to help them understand the disease.
As you know, diabetes can be treated, but it's much more manageable with an early diagnosis. Clients who understand the disease can take proactive steps to minimize complications.
