Iowa farmer loses life in deadly cow attack

Bruce Schulte, 50, was mauled to death by a cow while intendingto rescue the animal's calf from the mud. The cow charged and then mauledhim, according to police reports.
Dr. John Schiltz, state veterinarian, says it is unusual for acow to attack a farmer, even though they are protective of their offspring.
