Interns Star in Animal Planet Series

DENVER, CO ? 1/22/07 ? Seven veterinary interns have joined the staff at Alameda East Hospital in Denver, and, in turn, the cast of a reality television show filmed at the facility.

DENVER, CO – 1/22/07 – Seven veterinary interns have joined the staff at Alameda East Hospital in Denver, and, in turn, the cast of a reality television show filmed at the facility.

The interns debut in the Animal Planet series “E-Vets” on Monday, Jan. 22 at 9 p.m. The half-hour show follows six interns fresh out of veterinary school and a seventh intern participating in a special surgical internship. The interns are:

Dr. Erik Anderson, a New Hampshire native and a graduate of the University of Tennessee, plans to specialize in internal medicine.

Dr. Kevin Drygas, a graduate from the University of Florida, focuses on surgery.

Dr. David Gall, a former therapist, returned to the University of Colorado to earn his veterinary degree and pursues his interest in radiology.

Dr. Heather Hadley, a graduate from the University of Minnesota, uses her time at Alameda East to hone her surgical skills.

Dr. Michelle Nanfelt, a graduate of Colorado State University, is participating in a surgical internship. She is originally from New York.

Dr. Shana O'Marra, a Tufts University graduate, pursues a career in emergency medicine and critical care.

Dr. Blair Willman, a recent graduate of Louisiana State University. Her veterinary medicine interests spans from dermatology to animal behavior and exotics.
