To keep a dog or cat clean and dry during a dental procedure, place its nose and mouth through a hole in a waterproof drape. But make sure the drape can be moved to monitor the palpebral reflex. The drape will prevent the patient's coat from becoming soiled and will lessen the time needed to clean up the patient after the procedure.
