We give a lot of metronidazole to cats. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to get cats to take the pills because of the bad taste.

We give a lot of metronidazole to cats. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to get cats to take the pills because of the bad taste. So we cut the 250-mg tablets into quarters and place them in gelatin capsules. The cats will then take the medication without salivating or fighting. We also make up capsules of tylosin powder.
