My smart phone is an important diagnostic tool. I use a flashlight application to check for the dazzle reflex. I use the camera to snap photos of lumps, sores or bald patches so I can show owners any changes at the next visit. I also email photos to local specialists for quick input on tricky cases. And I use the Cardalis (Ceva Animal Health) app to measure patients' respiratory rates, while the stopwatch is a handy way to measure patients' heart rates.
