HONOLULU — Lawmakers in Hawaii are considering new continuing education (CE) requirements for veterinarians.
House Bill 13, introduced Jan. 19, would require that for every biennial licensure period, veterinarians must complete a minimum of 45 hours of formal CE. No more than 22.5 hours of that can be done through self-instructional coursework, according to the legislation.
