Ex-FDA head pleads guilty

Dr. Lester Crawford, the former FDA commissioner, admitted to falsely reporting information about stocks he owned in food, beverage, and medical device companies that he was in charge of regulating. He said he had sold the stocks but didn't, creating a conflict of interest. He will be sentenced in January and faces up to two years in prison.
