dvm360 names Dr. Elizabeth “Betsy” Charles as keynote speaker for all four 2020 Fetch conferences

dvm360 is excited to announce Elizabeth “Betsy” Charles, DVM, MA, executive director of the Veterinary Leadership Institute, as the keynote speaker for all 2020 Fetch conferences.

“Dr. Charles has a wealth of experience, both in veterinary medicine and in organizational leadership,” said Mike Hennessy Jr., president and CEO of MJH Life Sciences, the parent company of dvm360, in a release. “We are so excited for her to be a part of the 2020 conference series.”

Dr. Charles is a graduate of Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine and completed her master’s degree in organizational leadership in 2009. She has held several leadership positions in veterinary practices and has served on various panels and councils, including the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Council on Communication and the American Association of Equine Practitioners’ Leadership Development Committee.

According to the Veterinary Leadership Institute website, one of Dr. Charles's main areas of interest is generational diversity, as it applies to veterinary medicine. In her current role as executive director, "she combines her passion for veterinary medicine with her expertise in leadership development, teaching and communication."
