You will not believe this year's third annual top 10 list of weird names for cats and dogs, courtesy of VPI. Or maybe you will.

A VPI spokesperson says some of the owners who picked these oddball names rejected others because it would have been too embarrassing to call the name in public. What, "Optimus Pants" and "Admiral Pancake" aren't too embarrassing?

VPI employees picked the top 10 lists below and the two longer lists of 50 from more than 485,000 insured pets. Want to see what some of these pussies and pooches look like?
