A barking good time for a great cause
No beer at Dogtoberfest, but lots of chasing balls.

Muddy Creek Animal Care Center in Rowley, Mass., hosted a day of fun and festivities, including a raffle; bobbing for hot dogs; tennis ball chasing; and best dog trick, best costume, and pet-owner look-a-like contests. The proceeds went to Canines for Disabled Kids, a charity headquartered in Princeton, Mass.
The cleverly coined Dogtoberfest 2006 was supported by a number of sponsors and volunteers. At least 200 residents and their dogs took part in the event. Of course, you don't have to wait until next October to host your own event—or to show clients and your community how much you care.
