Wrap up: dvm360 celebrates client service representatives, and other news

Here is a sneak peek at this week’s headlines.

Happy Friday dvm360 readers, and happy Client Service Representative Week! All week long, dvm360 has been celebrating the hard working, dedicated, and amazing CSRs out there in veterinary medicine through articles, podcasts, and social media posts! Although CSR Week will be coming to an end tomorrow, this does not mean we should stop celebrate CSRs or not push for more CSR education. In fact, in case you missed it, dvm360 is going to be celebrating CSRs by honoring one in our upcoming 2026 Veterinary Heroes Recognition Program, so be sure to nominate your CSR hero, or the other heroes in your practice, here!

Along with our CSR celebrations, here is what else was popular this week on dvm360.com

  • In an article written by Andrew Ciccolini, DVM, MA, he takes a closer look into relief veterinarians and how they are now experiencing a notable rise in burnout, plus his own experiences as a relief veterinarian to talk about it rise in popularity but now the troubling trends that are starting to emerge.
  • A study published in Science February 2026 found that there are key similarities in certain oncogenes in humans and feline patients regarding cancer-driving mutations, which is a milestone in feline cancer because not much is currently known about the genetics driving feline cancer.
  • On this week’s episode of The Vet Blast Podcast presented by dvm360, our host Adam Christman, DVM, MBA, welcomed Jill Clark, DVM, to talk more in depth about the current client service representative (CSR) education movement happening, and why all veterinary professionals should be paying attention.
  • In an interview with dvm360, Dottie Brown, DVM, MS, DACVS, shares some of the Mars Veterinary Heath practices sustainability initiatives in its clinics and hospitals across the US.
  • Prior to her appearance on The Vet Blast Podcast presented by dvm360, Clark also wrote an article on the CSR movement to highlight why the "CSR movement," fueled by professional certification and dedicated industry support, is redefining the front desk not as a revolving door, but as the heartbeat of practice success.
  • Researcher recently found in a study that per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), often called “forever chemicals,” were present in dolphin milk across a two-year nursing period, which has added to the growing concerns about global environmental concerns.
