But she also finds that it is much easier for veterinarians to implement integrative treatments—such as acupuncture and laser therapy—after receiving proper training.

Integrative medicine has the potential to change the careers of physicians and veterinarians by offering something that reconnects them with their patients and helps them at a very deep level, Dr. Robinson adds.
