Former US Army veterinarian, Elizabeth Chosa, DVM, speaks about her active duty experience
Elizabeth Chosa, DVM, cofounder of Veterinary Hope Foundation, sat down with dvm360 for an interview at the Fetch conference in Nashville, Tennessee, and discussed her current and former career opportunities within the veterinary medicine profession. Below is a partial transcript of the video.

I work mostly in an emergency practice, but I also am the responsible veterinarian for a rural shelter and I do occasionally fill in in general practice as well.
I was surprised to find how much I loved being an army veterinarian because I got to do a lot of different things. And for me, more importantly, I loved being a part of something that was bigger than myself, that had very clear expectations, and very clear hierarchy. It was a great place to learn and grow.
