• The Humane Society of America offers "Providing for Your Pet's Future Without You," a free estate-planning kit for pet owners at hsus.org/petsinwills.

• A new AVMA Web page focuses on the shortage of food animal veterinarians at avma.org/fsvm/default.asp. In addition to providing information for consumers, government officials, and industry associations, the site also offers maps showing the regional distribution of food animal doctors and indicating how the shortage is hitting some areas harder than others.

Healthycatsforlife.com from Fort Dodge Animal Health and the American Association of Feline Practitioners provides feline wellness educational resources for pet owners and veterinarians.
