Edgewood Industries introduces the LifeForce warmer, warming pads for surgical and recovery applications.

The electric-powered, stainless-steel model reduces heating costs and ensures lasting performance, the company says.

The units will not wear out or succumb to destructive patient behavior, the company adds.

The first foot of the unit's electrical cord is protected with a heavy-duty plastic reinforcement wrap. LifeForce warmers feature automated thermostatic or cycle timer temperature control.

In use for extended hours or on standby for emergency preparedness, the warmers maintain a safe temperature with minimal attention required on the part of the doctor or veterinary technician, the company says.

The insulated and grounded radiant heating system inside the stainless-steel shell eliminates the risk of fire hazard, even when used in conjunction with a blanket or other combustible materials.

The flat physical design of the warmer makes for convenient storage, while its stainless-steel body promotes easy cleaning for optimum sanitary conditions. The unit heats to the desired temperature in 12 to 15 minutes, and it is available in sizes that fit on top of a surgical table or inside a single or double dog pen.
