Bank of America teamed up with Hill's Pet Nutrition to offer the PetRewards Visa card, which consumers can customize with a picture of their pet. The card earns reward points and donations to participating animal shelters for pet-related purchases.

Cardholders earn two reward points for every dollar spent at participating veterinary clinics and pet retailers. And for every dollar spent on other items, they earn one point. When cardholders reach 1,000 points, they earn a $20 rebate on veterinary clinic expenses, or they can make a $10 donation to an animal shelter.
