
Tips for techs: Support clients in the skin care slog
Pets with dermatologic issues can easily overwhelm their owners with the treatments they require. But veterinary technicians have the power to lighten and enlighten their loads.
If you send the owners of a pets with dermatologic issues home with armloads of therapies and instructions, there's a good chance they will give up before they get started.
While you may not be able to change the number or duration of therapies a pet requires, you can positively affect client compliance by providing education and support both during and in-between appointments. How? See the chart below.
