Neogen introduces a new formulation of thyroid replacement therapy to its line of small animal products.

ThyroKare (Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets, USP) offers advantages over existing thyroid hormone products, the company says.

Neogen's formulation minimizes product degradation by excluding the use of carbohydrates. Other factors used in the formulation such as particle size, granulation process, selection of active ingredient synthesis and source, excipients are used to provide optimum stability and reliability, the company adds.
