Therio Partners enters veterinary industry as new executive-level search firm

Stacy Pursell, CPC, CERS, founder of The Vet Recruiter, has just expanded her hiring prowess in the animal health and veterinary industries. She and her team recently launched Therio Partners—a high-end executive search firm in animal agriculture and the full pet health ecosystem.

The new venture provides retained search services for the animal health sector, including agricultural technology, pet care, animal nutrition, animal science, biotechnology, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, pet food, pet technology, and veterinary medicine.

Therio Partners' core mission is to build impactful relationships with clients and industry leaders by solving client challenges and promoting desired business outcomes.

Pursell and her team will transition all C-level and board of directors recruitment to Therio Partners while continuing to provide search services specific to the animal health and veterinary industries under The Vet Recruiter brand.

“For new companies entering our space, it doesn’t make sense to get a call from ‘The Vet Recruiter’ when the person I’m recruiting is a COO or CMO,” Pursell says of the new venture.

Pursell has been working in the veterinary sector since 1997, founding The Vet Recruiter in 2004. Some of her most notable accomplishments include helping establish the teams at Summit Vet Pharm (later acquired by Ceva Animal Health) and Aratana Therapeutics (now part of Elanco).
