The methodology behind Empowering Veterinary Teams

December 13, 2021
Caitlin McCafferty, Editor

Conferences | Atlantic Coast Veterinary Conference (ACVC)

Alyssa Mages, CVT, and Caitlin Keat, cofounders of Empowering Veterinary Teams (EVT) reviewed the methodology EVT follows in order to help veterinary practices be successful with their human and veterinary skills.

In a recent interview with dvm360® from the Atlantic Coast Veterinary Conference (ACVC), Empowering Veterinary Teams(EVT) founders Alyssa Mages, CVT, and Caitlin Keat, detailed the methods that EVT utilizes to help cultivate a positive and successful atmosphere within veterinary teams.

View the video below for the entire discussion. The following is a partial transcript:

Caitlin Keat: We love to go in if we are really able to and spend time in the practice. We want to start with an assessment of the team in action and see how everyone works together, understand their skills, understand where the gaps are, and then develop a comprehensive plan for the team. [We] look at the organizational structure, look at the roles, and responsibilities, [and] start to layout those leveling progressions.
