This photo from AAHA files shows an exam room that wouldn’t meet today’s standards. The morgue-like table, concrete block walls, lack of a working surface, and dismal art combine to create a bleak environment. “This is the quintessential thing you don’t want to do,” says veterinary architect Mark Hafen, AIA.
