New YORK—Veterinary Metrics Inc. and Pfizer animal Health are launching an aggressive senior marketing campaign designed to promote awareness of senior-health issues, such as canine arthritis.
Dami Shepard, product manager, US Therapeutics for Pfizer Animal Health, says, "Vet Met brings its critical data expertise into this partnership with Pfizer Animal Health. This program will enable us to significantly improve awareness of the health issues impacting senior canines such as arthritis—a fast-growing sector of the canine population."
Personalized mail will target dogs more than age 7 and educate clients about medical problems found in senior animals. The heightened communication is expected to enhance client compliance, improve wellness and ultimately drive revenue for participating practices.
Hank Swartz, Vet Met's co-founder and director, business strategy, says, "Vet Met data shows that only 12 percent of senior pets are currently receiving senior wellness diagnostic testing. Our partnership with Pfizer will provide veterinarians with all of the tools necessary to develop effective and profitable senior programs. Moreover, the campaign allows for practices to reach an untapped market and capitalize on missed opportunities."
