Pet Loss & Grief Companioning Certification Course

Two Hearts Pet Loss Center will offer Pet Loss & Grief Companioning Certification courses in Dallas on May 14-16, in Boston on September 8-10, and in Denver on September 17-19. Designed for end-of-life pet care professionals, these three-day intensive courses explore crucial topics related to pet loss, including Pet Loss Companioning, Pet Hospice, Anticipatory Grief, Needs of Mourning, Importance of Rituals, Pet Loss Support Groups, Children and Grief, Surviving Pets and Grief, Pets and Spirituality, Pet Loss Communication and Compassion Fatigue. The courses also provide powerful, one-of-a-kind networking opportunities, business building sessions, self-care activities (such as massage therapy), and moving tributes that honor the pets of attendees.The courses meet the requirements for 15 hours of continuing education credits for veterinary professionals who work in jurisdictions that recognize AAVSB/RACE approval. (Please note that some boards limit the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or have restrictions on certain methods of delivery for continuing education). Course LocationsDallas: Hilton Garden INN DFW North GrapevineBoston*: Embassy Suites at Logan AirportDenver: Courtyard by Marriott Denver Airport *The Boston course takes place immediately following the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy (CAEDA) training session at the same location on September 7-8. CostEach course costs $599 for veterinary professionals, or $549 for members of the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) and the Pet Loss Professionals Alliance (PLPA). The registration fee includes all course materials, a Certificate of Pet Loss Companioning, breakfast and lunch each day (plus one hospitality event), one year of continued learning opportunities, and membership into a private pet loss Facebook group.
