PHILADELPHIA - 5/10-06 - The University of Pennsylvania (Penn) School of Veterinary Medicine inked a collaborative deal with NetJets, a private aviation company, to offer its clients access to quality veterinary care for their companion animals nationwide.
To support the program, the Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital of Penn commissioned a software development company to design and implement a program allowing emergency service staff to respond quickly to NetJets' clientele. This software will be used in conjunction with existing databases that have been modified to meet this need, the university reports.
"We are pleased to partner with NetJets on this industry first program for veterinary care of companion animals," says Barry Stupine, CEO and executive director of Penn's veterinary hospital. "It is gratifying to see that a company with NetJets' excellent reputation understands the importance of the human-animal bond."
