Jack Bendheim, executive chairman, and Daniel Bendheim, CEO and president, Phibro Animal Health
Phibro Animal Health will be undergoing a leadership transition on July 1, 2026. Jack Bendheim, who has served as chairman, CEO, and president, will move into a newly defined executive chairman role, while his son Daniel ("Dani") Bendheim will assume the titles of CEO and president. Jack Bendheim joined Phibro in 1969 and has held the presidency since 1988, becoming CEO in 2014. In his new role, he will continue to provide strategic oversight and work closely with the executive leadership team.
Dani Bendheim joined Phibro in 1997 and has held a series of progressively senior roles, including vice president of business development, president of performance products, executive vice president of corporate strategy, and most recently chief transformation officer, where he led Phibro Forward.
“I am honored to take on this role and grateful for my father’s decades of leadership and guidance,” Dani Bendheim said in a company announcement.1 “Phibro is in the best position it has ever been, a customer-focused company with a strong foundation and commitment to innovation. I look forward to continuing to work with our global leadership team and our dedicated and committed employees worldwide, to advance our strategy, support our customers and build on the company's momentum."
Scott Taylor, chief business development officer, adoro Pet Insurance
adoro Pet Insurance has appointed Scott Taylor as chief business development officer, where he will lead the company's employee benefits and partnerships strategy to expand access to pet insurance through benefit brokers and distribution partners. Taylor brings more than two decades of insurance business development experience, including more than ten years focused specifically on pet insurance, and joins adoro from his most recent role as president of Spot Pet Insurance.
"We are so thrilled to welcome Scott to adoro. His deep experience in employee benefits and partner distribution is exactly what we need as we accelerate our growth. Scott understands how to build distribution at scale, and I can't imagine anyone better suited to lead this effort," Gavin Friedman, adoro co-founder and CEO, said in a company announcement.2
Ellen J. Hart, DVM, vice president of regulatory and international affairs, Animal Health Institute
Earlier this year, the Animal Health Institute (AHI) appointed Ellen J. Hart, DVM, as vice president of regulatory and international affairs, where she’s leading the organization's regulatory reform efforts, coordinating work on the upcoming Animal Drug User Fee Act (ADUFA) reauthorization, and guide engagement with international standard-setting bodies. Hart joined AHI from the FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM), where she served as director of international programs and outreach.3
During her tenure at CVM, Hart represented US interests in global bodies including the World Organization for Animal Health and played a key role in implementing the first use of the Emergency Use Authorization pathway for animal drugs. Earlier in her career, she practiced as a mixed-animal veterinarian in California and led veterinary response efforts during a major wildfire evacuation.
"ADUFA has been a cornerstone of progress in animal health, helping bring forward the medicines and technologies that veterinarians and producers rely on every day," Hart said in an organization announcement.3 "My goal is to help ensure that the regulatory system remains science-based, predictable, and responsive — so that innovators can continue developing solutions that protect animal health, support farmers, and serve families across the country."
