Dryden, DVM, PhD, DACVIM (parasitology), explained that dogs aged 1 to 3 years accounted for 46% of all dogs in the study. “Dogs that might have roundworms, [such as] dogs under 6 months of age, only accounted for 2.4%,” he said. “There weren’t a lot of puppies going to dog parks. That’s probably why the numbers were so low.”
