  • RedRover and Greater Charities announced this week the launch of the 25 by 2025 campaign. With support from Purina and powered by PetSmart Charities, the campaign aims to increase the number of pet-friendly domestic violence shelters in the United States by 25% in 2025.
  • This week, The Vet Blast Podcast shared not 1, but 2 podcasts this week! Frank Bozelka, DVM, sat down to talk about the differences between urgent cares and emergency rooms for veterinary patients. Then Georgette D. This new caucus will also help advance legislation benefiting the veterinary industry and address policy changes.
  • PetSmart Charities gifted Rescued Pets Movement, a homeless animal rescue, rehabilitation, and transport 501(c)(3) nonprofit, a $125,000 grant. This grant will impact the nonprofit's operations such as medical clinic and boarding expenses, staffing, traveling expenses, and related supplies.
  • Christie Yamazaki, DVM, DACVD, from Thrive Pet Healthcare, shared 7 pearls that veterinary professionals can use to optimize elimination diet trials to help determine a patient's primary allergic trigger.
  • Judy Morgan, DVM, CVA, CVCP, CVFT, launched her new pet supplement Dr Judy’s PEA. The supplement contains Palmitoylethanolamide, a endocannabinoid-like lipid mediator with extensively documented anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antimicrobial, immunomodulatory,and neuroprotective effects, which has no known adverse side effects in animals and humans.
