Next, while stretching the graft, affix it with sterile hypodermic needles to sterile corrugated cardboard (you could autoclave a piece from a cardboard box) with the epidermal side against the cardboard. Use sharp-sharp scissors and thumb forceps to remove all subcutaneous tissue and cutaneous trunci muscle from the graft, starting at one edge of the graft and advancing across the graft.
