The decision to extend the campaign is based on the accomplishment's of last year's campaign, which partnered with state public health veterinarians and veterinary medical associations to reach out to the consumer and trade media and urge pet owners to visit their veterinarian, the company says.

The campaign features Dr. Richard Ford, a professor of veterinary medicineat North Carolina State University (NCSU), to talk about rabies as a zoonoticdisease.
The campaign will continue broadcasting its 30-second public serviceannouncements, which reminds viewers that the best source of informationabout their pet is their veterinarian.
