Provide staff opportunity to trial new or recommended products to boost team and client compliance.

Personal use is a great method of advocacy, says Dr. Christine Merle, MBA, CVPM, with Brakke Veterinary Practice Management. So it's important for team members to use the treatment and services your practice recommends to clients. Here's the additional advice Dr. Merle has on how to improve your own compliance.

"Provide staff the opportunity to trial new or recommended products. Work with representatives from companies-or practice owners-to allow for this to occur." Then find out which pets each team member currently owns and what care those pets are already receiving. "It will tell you how much of a compliance gap you already have and what might need to occur to make that gap smaller," she says. Finally, put the right-compliant-people in the practice.
